Helping the Google ecosystem grow with families
CONTENT DESIGN
In accordance with global digital policies and research on youth and families around the globe, I advise partners across Google’s ecosystem to write with specific developmental stages in mind
I counseled YouTube content designers on the the voice and tone of their Teen Linking setup flow. This included working sessions to incorporate the iconography, headings, and a callout to break up text visually.

I’ve worked with the Messages team on how to display texts from new numbers that require parent approval before the child can message them
I collaborate with stakeholders across product pillars to connect all of our experiences into one, comprehensive setup flow for families

I also worked alongside Wallet & Payments content designers to fine tune the value props of a Google Wallet for Kids, and ensure seamless transitions between their screens and mine

What partners are saying
“Through it all, [Caylee] brought a calm clarity and patient understanding and comprehensive Unicorn UXW knowledge as we navigated the K&F/Messages integration and mysterious project gaps. It was a pleasure working with [her] and learning about Family Link”
— UX Writer, Google Messages
“I appreciated Caylee's help with the UX-W work for the project. This project was complex and required a ton of nuance and understanding of various states in order to update/reduce/improve the strings in the two different solution designs that were produced for this effort. Caylee was extremely helpful in getting these things turned around in short order and worked to make sure we were able to keep the incremental deadlines”
— PM, Google Kids & Families
“An extra special call-out to Caylee who did a ton of re-writes to meet changing product and legal requirements, and pushed for transparent, clear writing in service of parents, even though it was hard”
— Lead UX Writer, Google Kids & Families
